What made you want to do this work?
After 5 years in the fitness industry I discovered how much women struggle to eat enough protein and are constantly food shaming and feeling guilty for enjoying certain foods. I wanted to create a solution that allowed them to get back to eating pancakes on the weekend and baking cookies with their kids while still getting the protein they need.
What problem did you want to solve with the business?
With our high protein baking mixes you can enjoy the foods that you love again while getting the protein you need.
Who are your clientele/demographics?
Nutrition focused Women between 35-50 of above average household income
How does your business make money? How does it work?
We sell online, in select retail stores and local markets/popups
Where in the city can we find your profession?
Calgary but we ship across Canada and the USA
What is the best question a prospective customer could ask a member of your profession when comparing services? Give the answer as well.
Why do you cost more than the competition?
We are the leaders in protein baking, offering a wide selection of products using only the highest quality ingredients. Superior protein in both the quality and quantity and all of our products are gluten-free. Superior taste and texture with chef crafted recipes and experts in the fitness industry.
What is the best part about what you do? What is the worst part?
Helping women get passed their food shaming and start eating again. Hearing how much their kids love our product which in turn takes the stress off the Mom.
The worst part is the battle in getting our product found and recognized. It’s hard to reach customers when bootstrapping the business with one income.
What is your favourite joke about your own profession?
It’s not really a joke, but it always makes me giggle when people try our product and are surprised it tastes so good. People have a preconceived notion about what gluten free and high protein will taste like and our products surprise them every time.
