Five Minutes With: Pop Artist Miarlequin

The thread that keeps one from getting lost, that is what music is to Miarlequin. A whimsy pop artist, she moves through reality in ways that blur the boundary between the familiar and the strange. Neurodivergent and shaped by a nonlinear experience of reality, she has glimpsed fractured and unfamiliar worlds.

Miarlequin holds a Bachelor of Music in Composition from the University of Calgary and has released six singles. She has participated in the TD Music Residency and the Write On! Program. Ever wandering, she moves through existence with curiosity, open to what the universe may reveal. At her core, Miarlequin seeks truth in a world that is both unimaginably vast and small.

LP all the way, the more music the better. I can’t wait to release my first one!

Early bird or night owl?

I’m a night owl who’s secretly an early bird. I adore the morning, but I’m almost always up late at night.

Road or studio?

I love travelling to places for shows, but nothing beats studio for me. It’s the best experience in the world!

Any shows or albums coming up?

I just recently released my debut EP called The Fool! I poured my heart into it, and I’m so proud of it! However, I’m also excited to say that my next music project is already in the works, and I’m going into the studio again!
