Meet Achilles, a resilient young boy whose name couldn’t suit him better.
Achilles came to us as a stray with a serious injury to his leg that required multiple surgeries. Thanks to lots of care and determination, he’s made an incredible recovery and is now well on his way to enjoying life again. His foot continues to heal beautifully, and he’s ready to start the next chapter of his journey.
Despite everything he’s been through, Achilles hasn’t lost his love for people. He greets familiar faces with enthusiasm, happily accepts treats, and loves leaning in for cuddles and affection. He’s a sweet, social boy who forms connections quickly and enjoys spending time with his people.
Like many dogs, Achilles finds the shelter environment overwhelming at times. As his excitement builds, he can become bouncy and forget his manners. Once he’s out of the kennel and has a chance to decompress, he settles well and enjoys exploring the world around him.
