Steve Dzolang is a local Calgarian who began Targetxx Production after graduating with a communications degree. The video production company creates custom marketing videos to promote different brands. We spoke with Steve, the Creative Video Director, to learn more.
What is your business called and what does it do?
Targetxx Production is where ideas come to life. We take great pride in the work we do by helping create meaningful stories that match your brand. Our video production covers anything from ideas development to final product including marketing video, event highlight video and much more. We will create a custom project authentic to your brand. When it comes to bringing your vision to life, we’ve got you covered.
What made you want to do this work?
My journey is a bit different. I started doing videos for friends at a very young age. After I graduated with my communication degree. Some of my peers were getting paid gigs, but they had fewer credentials than me. That’s the main reason that pushed me to embark on the journey. My drive and inspiration come from within. I am very fortunate to do something that I love. It’s therapeutic.
What problem did you want to solve with the business?
Helping small businesses be more visible online by sharing their stories and helping them meet their target with our marketing solution packages.
Who are your clientele/demographics?
Small businesses, individuals, local organizations and musicians.
How does your business make money? How does it work?
We earn money by providing value to our amazing customers. We help them identify the best way to share their message across in order to connect with their audience.

All our packages come with video editing.
What is the best part about what you do? What is the worst part?
Create my own hours, working with amazing customers. We have busy and low seasons. We generate less revenue during our low season.
