Rabiya Mansoor is a Pakistani-Calgarian comedian, actor, and writer. Recent credits include: 2019 Bob Curry Fellowship (Second City Toronto), Above & Beyond (2019 Toronto Fringe), and FUSION Comedy (2019 Montreal & Toronto Sketchfests).
She co-produces and co-hosts OTHER, a monthly diversity focused show, at the John Candy Box Theatre. You can also catch her performing sketch with the Wow! on the last Monday of every month at the Assembly Theatre. She is a part of b current performing arts’ 2019/20 bcHUB Emerging Artists Training Ensemble, Nightwood Theatre’s 2019/20 Young Innovators Program, and took part in PlayME Podcast’s Beats + Intentions Playwriting Unit earlier this year.
Her web series project, Eager Reaper, is part of the 2019 Women on Screen’s Web Series Incubator program and was previously workshopped at the FEM Script Lab and Industry Events TO. She is a proud alumna of the University of Calgary where she studied International Relations and East Asian Language Studies.
What ‘hood are you in?
I’m from the NW – the Hamptons. But now I live just across the way in Toronto.
What do you do?
I’m an improv and sketch comedian primarily, but I’ve been expanding into theatre and writing.
What are you currently working on?
I just finished the 2019 Bob Curry Fellowship at Second City Toronto and am working on a solo musical sketch show.
