RAVENOUS E.H. was forged in the spring of 2016 as the brainchild of vocalist R. A. Voltaire with the goal of blending influences from Thrash, Power, Black, and Progressive Metal into heroic Heavy Metal anthems.
In 2017, RAVENOUS E.H. self-recorded and released their debut EP ‘Eternal Hunger’ as a taste of what was to come. After several tours and a successful 2019 pre-order campaign, RAVENOUS released ‘Conquering the Sun’, a music video dedicated to the 70,000 Tons of Metal festival, and launched their debut album ‘Eat the Fallen’ – solidifying their current lineup, signing with Spiritual Beast Records in Japan, playing several shows in support of the debut album, and starting their own label ‘Feast Beast Records’.
Now in Fall 2021, RAVENOUS E.H. is set to serve another Heavy Metal feast with their next full-length entitled ‘Hubris’. Self-recorded in isolation during the COVID-19 pandemic and mixed & mastered by award-winning producer Fredrik Nordstrom, the new record solidifies their darkened blend of European Power Metal and American Speed Metal in an offering that tells ten stories inspired by various sources surrounding hubris – the notion of arrogance and the hunger for power that often leads to one’s demise.
