What is your business called and what does it do?
Our business is called Igloo Calgary and we are an igloo experience rental. The most popular package is “Netflix and Chill”, a sleepover under the stars. Our favourite package is definitely “Will you marry me?”.
What made you want to do this work?
I’ve always loved unique experiences. Living busy lives it is important to pause, relax, and recharge. Why not do it while watching the night sky and your favourite movie with people you love?
What problem did you want to solve with the business?
We wanted to offer another option to enjoy time off of work and just to have a nice time with loved ones and to forget about everyday overwhelming life.
Who are your clientele/demographics?
We set up from kids’ sleepovers to adults’ romantic getaways. We also had a dinner set up for a 70th birthday. Our igloo is for all ages!
How does your business make money? How does it work?
We are an event rental company, we make money by bringing and setting up the experience to our clients and coming back the following day to take everything down and clean.
Where in the city can we find your profession?
We are located in Calgary, mostly setting up within the city, but also willing to drive to nearby towns.

We don’t just rent an igloo. We customize and create the best experience for your specific celebration. We create memories. We touch hearts.
What is the best part about what you do? What is the worst part?
The best part is to see our customer’s faces when they first see their igloo set up. The worst part is setting up in winter when it’s -20 outside.

The electricity better not go out tonight!
