What is your business called and what does it do?

Social People. Co- We are a multi-faceted digital marketing agency. Specializing in Social Media Management, Copywriting, Brand Photography and Education that allows companies across North America to keep their competitive edge.

What made you want to do this work?

We both have a love of marketing and helping businesses utilize the benefits of Social Media. We see social media as the equalizer for companies looking to market their products and services; you no longer need a $100,000 dollar marketing budget to see momentum in your marketing efforts. Additionally, we love human psychology and believe that bringing back the human aspect of marketing makes a business stand out. Social media gives companies the opportunity to build relationships with their customers like never before – and we will make that happen!

What problem did you want to solve with the business?

The struggles that businesses had in managing every component of running a successful digital campaign. Business owners feel incredibly overwhelmed when coordinating a brand photographer, copywriter, social media manager, marketing strategist, and videographer. Maintaining communications with all of those contractors and hoping they are all on the same board is incredibly difficult, not to mention expensive. Our agency has everything in-house with a team that understands your company goals and vision for the seamless creation of your campaigns.

Who are your clientele/demographics?

We work in all industries—our clientele works in Real Estate, Human Resources, Dental, Food Industry, Beauty, Medical, Construction, Interior Design, Consultation, Apparel, and more. Demographically, we support businesses across North America, ranging from small businesses to seven-figure corporations.

How does your business make money? How does it work?

We created a Social Media Management and Content Subscription where clients can have everything cared for in one simple subscription. We also offer campaign work and one-time services such as website copy, brand shoots, stylized shoots and videography.

Where in the city can we find your profession?

We are physically located in Calgary; however, we work with clients across North America.

What is the best question a prospective customer could ask a member of your profession when comparing services? Give the answer as well.

Question: How does your agency approach digital marketing differently?

Answer: It seems simple, but there are so many marketing agencies worldwide that it’s important to work with an agency that offers a competitive edge.

We have been using the same methods for over six years, and with all the trends that come and go, our method stands effective. We build community with real engagement, create strategies that sell and build brand awareness, use photography & video that represent its brand & attract ideal customers, and address barriers of purchase in captions and website copy.

If you’re looking to get 100,000 followers overnight, we are not your agency – however if you’re looking to be a leader in your industry, build meaningful relationships and a loyal customer base – We have everything you need!

What is the best part about what you do? What is the worst part?

Best part: Helping businesses flourish – hands down, there is no greater feeling than when a client tells us that we have reached their goals, exceeded expectations or that they have a hard time managing the increase in sales due to our campaigns. Additionally, the creativity we get to use is amazing

Worse part: Managing expectations. At times, past experiences have left our clients with preconceived notions about marketing. These can be difficult hurdles to overcome as we build our own relationships with them.

What is your favourite joke about your own profession?

When do I go viral???? or Can you just do this in Photoshop??
