What is your business called and what does it do?
Parallel Property Solutions Inc. We connect great owners with great properties with great tenants.
What made you want to do this work?
It was a field I had a lot of experience in. I knew there were some tweaks I could do to “traditional property management” that our clients would love. Thankfully I was right!
What problem did you want to solve with the business?
We wanted to create peace of mind for property owners and tenants alike. We treat them both with respect and dignity. We take out the conflict that can often arise in tenant-landlord relationships.
Who are your clientele/demographics?
Property owners who are living an adventure and don’t have the time/energy to manage their rental investment portfolio.
How does your business make money? How does it work?
We charge fees to find tenants and manage them over the course of the lease.
Where in Calgary can we find your profession?
We work as far North as Airdrie, as far East as Langdon, as far South as Okotoks and as far west as Cochrane. We cover everything in between, too, obviously.
What is the best question a prospective customer could ask a member of your profession when comparing services? Give the answer as well.
How do I know you’ll really care about my property and about my tenant?
I wish I had a succinct way to answer this question! I hope when people spend time with us and get to know us and trust us.
What is the best part about what you do? What is the worst part?
I like meeting new people and taking care of them.
I don’t like doing move-out inspections. Sometimes people get really mad at us.
What is your favourite joke about your own profession?
If you want to rent a spot in an orchard, what do you fill out to let them know you’re interested?
