Mark’s work bridges the academic and the human, inviting people to explore the good, the bad, the downright ugly, and the beautiful sides of connection. What is your business called and what does it do?
CreateTheLove is a platform I created to help guide people to design the life and relationships they want. It’s a hub where people can find information on my courses, retreats, connection cards and of course, my new book Liberated Love. In Liberated Love, co-authored by myself and my wife Kylie McBeath, we take an in-depth look at how to heal from codependency, identify patterns that keep people stuck, and in-turn, create a relationship that each individual feels liberated and encouraged to become the best possible version of themselves. Through this, the relationship, as well as the individuals, thrive. I also have a popular podcast where I and expert guests explore the human experience and what it’s like to live authentically in the modern world.
What made you want to do this work?
I had a relationship that ended and it led me on the journey of wanting to understand what makes great relationships great. Why are some people so successful in love, and others not?
What problem did you want to solve with the business?
To support those who feel lost in life and desire to create relationships that thrive. When our relationships thrive, so do our lives.
Who are your clientele/demographics?
My practice, podcast and book Liberated Love is for anyone who is looking to live an authentic life so they can have better and stronger relationships.
How does your business make money? How does it work?
Through courses, in-person events, speaking engagements, as well as individual coaching.
Where in the city can we find your profession?
The business is not based out of any specific city, however we currently live in Vancouver, BC
What is the best question a prospective client could ask a member of your profession when comparing services? Give the answer as well.
What sort of work have you done on yourself to cultivate incredible relationships? What is possible for me if I do this work with you?
I live everything I teach. There is not a thing I recommend that I don’t do and haven’t dove deep into myself. I have studied the human condition for over 25 years, worked with some of the greatest teachers in the area of relationships in the world. I am committed to my personal expansion and have my own therapists, coaches and mentors to ensure that I have someone holding me accountable to what is possible. My relationships are evidence of my commitment to this work.
What is possible for you? Everything. If you change how you relate, you will change your life. When we take the time to explore our relationship challenges, not only do we begin the healing journey, we send the message to ourselves that we matter. Investing in ourselves is the greatest investment we can ever make.
What is the best part about what you do? What is the worst part?
The best part: I get to help support people as they change their lives. I get to witness people wake up to what is possible for them, as well as their relationships.
The worst part: Social media and using it for business. It’s a never-ending aspect of business, and nothing is ever enough. I have a lot of thoughts on our relationship to social media and how it impacts us, our healing, and our nervous systems.
