Ben Tizzard holds a Bachelor of Music in Jazz Guitar from Ambrose University, where he studied under acclaimed Canadian guitarists Ralf Bushmeyer, Neil McVey, Aaron Young, and Aaron Shorr. Drawing inspiration from a wide range of musical traditions, Ben has cultivated a distinctive style that seamlessly blends jazz, Texas picking, and musical theatre influences.

Shanghai Classic Restaurant. 8282 Centre St N, Calgary, AB T3K 2X4. Best Chinese Food I have ever eaten.

What is your favourite street in your city and why?

Any street that is not under construction is a wonderful street in Calgary.

What is your favourite park in your city and why?

Nose Hill Park. It’s such a massive and beautiful park right in the middle of the city. It has everything in it, long paths, lots of wildlife, different elevations, forest paths.

What is your favourite music venue in your city?

The Ironwood Stage and Grill

What is your favourite music store in your city?

Long and Mcquade just opened a Seton Location which is super close to me. That’s great. They also have super cheap equipment rentals.
