Ike is a handsome, gentle fellow who may be a little shy when first meeting new people, but it doesn’t take long for his sweet personality to shine through. Once he feels comfortable, Ike happily leans into pets, offers soft tail wags, and enjoys spending time with his people.
Because Ike came to us with limited history, his future family should be prepared to help him continue building confidence with lots of love, patience and treats! Ike would like to take it slow and have lots of time to warm up to new people and places to ensure he feels as comfortable as possible!
Future adopters should be aware that Ike has a history of hemangiosarcoma, a type of cancer. While his mass has been removed, this condition can affect his long-term outlook. His adopters should be prepared for regular veterinary check-ups to monitor his health and provide supportive care as needed.
