Since coming to Canada nearly 20 years ago, Martha (Mavarti) has been continuously developing her passion for art in all forms. Her first passion was her family and raising two beautiful daughters while fostering a creative environment for them. With the additional free time that comes with maturing children, Martha has focused her time to honing her skills and absorbing inspiration from everything around her. Her media is not limited, and her subject matter is vast. She will flow between subtle nature scenes in coloured pencil to large acrylic abstracts that inspire wonderment of the universe.

Which ’hood are you in?
Chestermere AB.
What do you do?
I focus mostly on acrylics mixed with crystals, but my first love is colour pencils, and I also love to draw on occasion in graphite and pastels.
What are you currently working on?
I am currently doing hunt for the “one and only” perfect mixture of texture, color background ratio between colour pencils and paper which is kind of impossible to find as every job is different and each piece needs its own way to “express itself” but for now this is keeping me engaged trying new techniques of doing colour pencils which brings me to new ways to express myself and being up to date with my work.
Where can we find your work?
I am on Instagram and on my website.
