Afshan Khan is such an inspiration for me due to her passion and persistence, driven to be better every single day. Her art was born from postpartum depression and from the advice of her doctor to draw/paint to distract herself. As she started creating art, she fell in love with the process of creating art. It allowed her to share her thoughts and feelings via colours and textures; it was her hidden talent. She’s so much in love with art that she could paint tirelessly for several hours a day. She enjoys going for long walks and hikes and finds inspiration in little things in life. Afshan’s artwork has been exhibited in many venues. She is a member of a variety of art groups and loves helping and motivating others who are on their art journey. Afshan teaches art to seniors and also enjoys doing paint nights with friends. Afshan has a vision of having a cozy little gallery in her home. Most people are in awe of the feelings invoked by her artwork. Afshan is very much inspired by the works of Van Gogh and Gustav Klimt.
