Edwardson is a Canadian alternative pop artist based in Calgary and a 2024 YYC Music Awards Emerging Artist of the Year recipient. Their latest single, “Blame”, released on September 27th, has already become a fan favourite at live shows. The track delves into the emotional turmoil of a difficult-to-end relationship, blending nostalgic synths, powerful drums, and captivating male pop vocals. Its contrast between melancholic lyrics and infectious, danceable beats makes it an instant earworm.
“Blame is about something almost everyone has experienced—being in a relationship you know is going nowhere, but neither of you can find the words to walk away. It’s a different vibe, and I can’t wait for you to hear it.”
Edwardson first made waves in 2022 with their debut single “Springtime”. After a year of building a loyal fanbase through consistent live performances, they released their debut EP, “Twenty Something”, in September 2023. Featuring standout tracks like “Get Home”, “Oh Love!”, and a reimagined version of “Springtime”, the EP resonated deeply within Calgary’s indie pop scene and across Canada.
Following the EP’s release, Edwardson embarked on a short promotional tour, sharing the stage with local artists such as Fin McDowell, Tawni Bias, and Sunset Sabotage, along with Victoria’s Alcoves.
Now firmly established in the Canadian pop landscape, Edwardson is preparing for an exciting new chapter, with plans for fresh music throughout the rest of 2024 and into 2025.
“This is a new era for me, for Edwardson. I can’t wait to have you along for the ride.”

Favourite musician growing up:
Too many to count! Taylor Swift, Shania Twain, Keith Urban, John Mayer, and One Direction are a few!
Favourite musician now:
Favourite musician is for sure Jack Antonoff, not only for his solo music under Bleachers but for all of his co-writing and producing for other pop artists like Taylor Swift, The 1975, and more.
Guilty pleasure song:
“Perfect” by One Direction is absolutely my guilty pleasure song. Still hits.
Live show ritual:
No matter what show I play, big or small, we always play a cover of “Silk Chiffon” by Muna and Pheobe Bridgers. Not the craziest well-known song but it’s too fun not to do!
Favourite local musician:
Colin Carbonera! Easy!
EP or LP?
I’m an LP person at heart. My favourite album of all time is a 43-minute, 9-song album by LANY called “Malibu Nights” and it’s perfect.
Early bird or night owl?
I’m a night owl through and through. Anything before 9 am sucks.
Road or studio?
Road! I love producing and writing and recording but live shows have my heart.
Any shows or albums coming up?
Yes and yes! My newest song “Right Way” comes out on January 31st on all platforms, and I will be performing at the Ironwood Stage and Grill on February 6th. See you there!
