Lucie Bause is a visual artist and educator. She grew up in the small theatre town of Stratford, Ontario in an immigrant family of Czech descent. She has always had the ability to imagine and create artwork that represents nature and how it has influenced her life. While living in the Canadian Rockies for 30 years she was inspired to create, using bold colours and geometric shapes, art that calls you and surrounds you in a story of magic and beauty.
She creates art which celebrates Life and Nature. She is passionate about sharing this message whether she is designing art programs or facilitating group art-making sessions. The goal is to connect with oneself and others in community through Nature and art and share gratitude and appreciation.
“Most aspects of Nature inspire me, including land, sky, forest, animals. Colour, shape and pattern also play a big part in my work. I love the way trees dance with the sky.”
