Micah Sage is an Indie/Alternative artist based in Calgary, Alberta. She is a self-taught multi-instrumentalist, writer and producer. Her sound (inspired by Coldplay, Billie Eilish, Lennon Stella & Clairo) is dreamy, soulful, cinematic and entirely her own. Sage’s debut self-titled EP (June 2023) is self-written, played, recorded and primarily self-produced. The first three singles from the EP, “July”, “Stay the Same”, and “Don’t You” (all released in 2022) were featured on CBC Radio, Canadian Campus Radio National, CKUA, and X92.9 (Calgary’s commercial Alternative station). In March 2023, she was one of ten Canadian artists invited to Canada’s Music Incubator in Toronto, where she developed her artistry and business for two months with industry professionals. Micah Sage is a natural-born musician, despite not coming from a musical family. In addition to vocals, she is trained in dancing and acting, and participated in show choir for many years in her childhood. She now performs locally, around Alberta, and is planning on bringing her tunes across western Canada, for the remainder of 2023.

Any shows or albums coming up?
My debut self-titled EP (Micah Sage – EP, June 9th 2023) is self-written, played, recorded and primarily self-produced. The EP is centred around themes of ageing, growing and life experience as an adolescent human. The record was written over the course of two years and production began from my home studio in Calgary at the end of 2021. Two of the songs (“Stay the Same”, and “More”) were co-produced remotely by Kofi AK (Toronto-based producer).
