While there are countless strains of cannabis available in Calgary, some have emerged as the most popular among consumers. For this article, we polled some of the city’s top retailers to explore the top sold cannabis strains in Calgary, and why they are so popular. While these strains are probably popular elsewhere in Canada, they top the charts specifically for Calgarians.
Wedding Pie

One of the more interesting observations from this list, at least for me, is that Calgarians love their hybrid and indica strains, with not a single pure-sativa strain making the top 5. Another clear trend is that these are all fairly high-THC content strains, proving that Calgary loves to get baked – as we all do! Some of the categories that we did not explore for this article include vape cartridges and pre-rolls most of which have unique, brand-specific strain names but interestingly, those categories were right near the top of the list, alongside dried flower.
