Five Minutes With: Calgary Alternetive Country Band Lucky Sonne

Formed in friendship and on sacred creative common ground in 2006, Lucky Sonne (the core) is Luke Colborne (chief songwriter/guitar/lead vocals) and Arran Fisher (uber-producer/engineer/mixer and percussionist). Presently, Lucky Sonne is a quietly revered and well-regarded five-piece alternative country post-skiffle indie folk adult contemporary two-car garage rock band from Calgary, Alberta, known locally and abroad for their distinctive sound, one that has been described as “splitting the difference between 80’s/90’s college radio pop and rock and heyday Laurel Canyon trippy troubadour country”. Lucky Sonne is responsible for five critically acknowledged independently funded albums, most recently “Belleweather” released July 2022. Cafe, cabaret, variety show, rodeo, Lucky Sonne will fill and kill any bill. SONG. STUDIO. STAGE. SLAY.
