Hi, I’m Jersey. I’m a beautiful little sweetheart looking for a calm, quiet retirement home. My foster mom says that I am a very sweet girl who loves to be brushed, spend time with my people, and chat with you once I feel comfortable. Foster mom says I have a grumpy little meow, but I’m not mad at you, that’s just how I sound! While I do like hanging out with my people, I also like my own space, so I would love it if my new family could understand my body language and can provide me with a safe space I can go to be alone. To keep me happy, I would love an extra-large litter box in a couple of different locations that are cleaned regularly, as well as horizontal and vertical scratchers to offer me variety. Other animals can be a bit scary, so I’d prefer to be the only pet, but if you have a calm appropriate kitty at home, we might be a match! Ask the adoptions team for more details. Because I’m a shyer girl, I will need a family who can be patient with me. So far, I’m not a lap cat and really don’t like being picked up, but I recently started spending some time on foster parent’s bed, so with time I may become more affectionate.
