What is your business called and what does it do?
HireHeelsYYC is a drag queen service bring drag shows to your lawns and private events.
What problem does this solve?
The lock down helped as people were in need of entertainment, this form of entertainment can be customized to any event through music choices and solves the problem of being cautious to leave the house during these times.
Who are your clientele/demographics?
Anyone who enjoys the art of drag! We have done everything from 6 year old birthday parties to helping a bride propose to her maid of honour.
How does your business make money? How does it work?
Our goal is to entertain and keep the entertainers with paid work. We charge per queen and have kept many drag queens afloat with work and art to express to many new people in and around Calgary.
Where in Calgary can we find your profession?
Everywhere, we do most of our advertising on Facebook and Instagram.
What is the best question a prospective customer could ask a member of your profession when comparing services?
How long is the show?
We aim to provide at least 30 minutes of entertainment for each stop we make.
What is the best part about what you do?
Making people smile.
What is the worst part?
Being in drag for up to 12 hours a day in the summer heat.
What is your favourite joke about your own profession?
We take party clowns to the new extreme.
