“A Day in the Life” with: Calgary Filmmaker Victoria McFadyen

Victoria McFadyen was born to tell stories. She dreamt up long, elaborate tales and read them to her spellbound friends as a teenager. At 24, she purchased her first set of camera gear and taught herself how to use cameras, format computers and edit film back in the day before there was easy access to apps. Her directing style embraces no B-roll, just an A-roll attitude for all frames. She builds frames that are active and dynamic. Her genuine curiosity and passion for truth give the reputation of carefully crafted stories that are engaging, important and intimate. Vicki is a full-time creative with a hard work ethic, uncompromising dedication to her craft and crews. Vicki loves the outdoors, horses, ranch life & nature, skiing, biking and playing pinball.
