Which ‘hood are you in?
I was born and raised in Saskatchewan but I have made Edmonton my home since 1987 so 38 years!! I got into the BFA program at the U of A in 1987 and just stayed after graduation because there was so much work there. I met my husband here and we raised two awesome boys. I love Edmonton!
What do you do?
Well, I am an actor. And to make your living as an actor you have to be a hundred things. I work as a theatre actor, a film and TV actor, a video game voice-over artist, a host, a dancer, a singer, an improvisor, a circus artist, a collaborator for new works, a teacher and coach. I have been lucky to have had so many awesome experiences in all of these genres. A bizarre moment was when my kids were playing Mass Effect and numerous characters I played had to be killed. We’ve had good laughs about that.
What are you currently working on?
I am currently working on Disney’s Frozen at the Citadel Theatre in Edmonton. It’s such an amazing company. I’m very excited to share this show with everyone. I also have a theatrical release of a major motion picture premiering across Canada this year called Dark Match. Look for it also on Shudder as of January 31!
Where can we find your work?
You can find my work on the Hallmark Channel (Meet Me at Christmas), on streaming platforms, in movie theatres, on stage, in video games and on the podcast Scamtime. I’ll pop up somewhere if you look for me. I am very grateful that I get to do what I love. It’s chaos sometimes, but it’s never boring.
