Masha & Pasha, known as @twins_zlatevs on Instagram and TikTok, are twin sisters who share their everyday lives in Calgary and beyond. The duo started their shared channel only a year ago, and so far they love discovering and sharing the best cafés, restaurants, and experiences with their followers. Together, they plan, execute, and share the content they create, which has already brought them some exciting opportunities. Looking ahead, they want to adventure outside of North America to further establish themselves as travel and lifestyle content creators. We spoke with Masha & Pasha to learn more.
What is your channel called and what is it about?
Our channel is called @twins_zlatevs on Instagram and TikTok. We create lifestyle content as identical twin sisters, sharing our everyday lives, travel adventures, modelling, and UGC (user-generated content). We also love discovering and featuring the best restaurants, cafés, hotels, and unique experiences in Calgary and beyond. Our goal is to inspire people through creative, fun, and authentic twin content.
When did you start it? What motivated you at the beginning?
We started our content creation journey about a year ago. We had always dreamed of creating a page dedicated to our lives as twins because we wanted to share the unique bond we have and inspire others. We were also excited by the idea of becoming content creators, working with brands, and building a creative community around our passion.
Who were you inspired by? Any influences?
We weren’t inspired by any particular influencers. Instead, we inspired each other. As twin sisters, we’ve always motivated one another to keep going, even during moments when creating content felt challenging. Our biggest inspiration has always been our teamwork and shared dream.
How would you describe your audience?
We think of our audience as our Instagram family. They are incredibly supportive, kind, and encouraging. They actively engage with our content, celebrate our achievements, and genuinely enjoy following our journey. We love interacting with them through comments and messages, and we’re grateful for the positive community we’ve built together.
What is your creative process? Do you have people who work with you?
It’s just the two of us! We work together as a team and handle everything ourselves, from brainstorming ideas and planning content to filming, editing, and managing our social media. We enjoy collaborating creatively and bringing each idea to life together.
How do you monetize your content? Do you also have another job?
Yes, alongside content creation, we both work full-time at Canadian Rocky Mountain Resorts, and we truly enjoy our careers. Masha works in the Accounting Department, while Pasha works in the Human Resources Department. We monetize our content through UGC projects, brand collaborations, and sponsored partnerships, and we continue to grow this side of our business.
What is your favourite piece of content you have created?
It’s hard to choose just one because we have two favourite pieces of content.
The first is the content we created during the Calgary Stampede. We absolutely love this time of year because the city comes alive with energy, excitement, and community spirit. Everyone is out celebrating, and it creates such a fun atmosphere to capture through our photos and videos. It’s one of our favourite traditions, and creating Stampede content always feels special.
Our second favourite is something completely different and very exciting; we had the opportunity to appear as actresses in the upcoming movie “The Waiting Room.” Filming the movie last year was an unforgettable experience and allowed us to explore another creative side of storytelling. The film is set to be released this year, and we can’t wait to watch it ourselves and share this exciting milestone with our community on our social media channels. Sneak peek here.
What is the best part about what you do? What is the worst part?
The best part is being able to express our creativity and share experiences that inspire others. Creating content brings us so much joy, allows us to meet amazing people, and opens doors to exciting opportunities. The most challenging part is that content creation requires a lot of time, planning, and energy behind the scenes, but seeing the final result makes all the hard work worthwhile.
What are your future plans for your channel?
We want to continue growing our community and expand our content beyond Canada into Europe and the United States. Our goal is to collaborate with more international brands, luxury hotels, tourism boards, and lifestyle companies while continuing to create high-quality, authentic content. We also hope to inspire more people and establish ourselves as recognized travel and lifestyle creators.
