Harvey is a big, fluffy man with a soft coat and an even softer spot for bum and ear scratches! Found as a stray, he was a little unsure of the new scents and faces in the shelter at first, but with time, he’s turned into a friendly, affectionate companion who’s made plenty of human friends along the way.
This middle-aged gentle giant is happiest by your side, whether that’s joining you for a stroll or snoozing quietly as the perfect office buddy. Harvey walks wonderfully on leash when he has space from other dogs – no pulling whatsoever! He is reactive to other dogs, though, so it’s still important to have a good hold on his leash when it’s needed. For this reason, he would like to be your one-and-only pup!
He’s playful too, with a love for rope toys and balls, and he’s got great recall to match. Harvey may do best in a home with older, respectful kids, but could be okay with younger children if all interactions are closely supervised by an adult. Due to prey drive, Harvey cannot live with cats or small animals.
If you’re looking for a loyal, laid-back best friend, Harvey is ready to be yours!
To help Harvey and his family start life off on the right paw, Harvey will receive a session of Reactive Rover to support him. Harvey is a Patient Paw; please ask about their reduced adoption fee and the possibility of a sleepover!
