Apricot the dog needs a new home in the Calgary area

Apricot is a 1 year old female Large Mixed Breed who weighs 55 pounds. Apricot is on a fur-cation until November 22nd!

To support her new family going forward, Apricot will also receive fearful fido following adoption.

A bit about him:
– unknown history with children; all interactions should be supervised
– unknown history with cats; slow, supervised intros recommended
– unknown history with dogs; dogs okay pending successful introduction
– nervous dog with history of touch sensitivity

Apricot came into the care of CHS after she was found as a stray. This lovely girl enjoys tug of war and fetch and can be very sweet once you have her trust. Apricot takes time to trust and can easily be overwhelmed if her boundaries are pushed. With her history of living as a stray, Apricot will likely need to work on skills like riding in a car and housetraining, along with gaining confidence. If you are a quiet household looking for a new friend, you can be patient with a nervous dog, and you love puppy kisses, then why not come by CHS and meet Apricot?
