Short Ribs Done the Short Way by Meat Delivery Service, Bessie Box

This week, Bessie Box provided us with their “Short Ribs Done the Short Way” recipe, using the Maui Ribs from their Classic Box!

Bessie Box is an online, meat delivery service that was founded on the premise of building relationships and telling stories over better meat and seafood. Sparking conversations, telling stories with food, and connecting Alberta farmers to your dinner table is the value Bessie Box seeks to provide to every one of their consumers.

The business was started in early 2019 in Calgary, Alberta and since then their distribution has grown to include doorstep deliveries in Airdrie, Cochrane, Chestermere and Okotoks. The meat they offer is 100% Albertan beef and chicken and it is processed and packaged in federal and provincially inspected facilities right here in the province. All of their meat (including seafood, is portioned out, vacuum-sealed and flash-frozen at the point of harvest. From the beginning they have been committed to implementing low-waste processes, while providing the highest quality of meat to their customers.

They offer a range of boxes starting at $55 and going up to $300 per box and are portioned out into family boxes, seafood-only boxes, grass and seafood boxes and more. You can also choose from a variety of add-ons to customize your box to fit your needs, tastes, and cravings. All orders are done online, delivery is free, and you can organize when you receive your box through a text-base service at check-out -contactless delivery days are Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday.
