Trent Agecoutay is a born storyteller, shaped by years of performing in dancehalls since his teenage years and earning his stripes as a musician’s musician.
From an early age, Trent watched his father sit at the kitchen table with a pot of coffee, a lit cigarette, and an old tape recorder, weaving songs out of lived experience. Hidden in the next room, Trent would quietly listen, captivated by the raw honesty of his dad’s songwriting. That early exposure sparked his own love for music and narrative.
Today, Trent channels those roots into his own songwriting—unfiltered, sharp-witted, and deeply human. His work is driven by a commitment to capturing the truth of the human experience through melody and word.
