Lexi Winters is a Calgary-based content creator with a passion for travel, lifestyle, food, and documenting everyday moments in a way that feels aspirational yet approachable. What started as a creative outlet when she was 13 has grown into a career, with a community of over 600,000 followers across platforms. Her content blends travel diaries, lifestyle routines, fashion, food, and playful product experiences, always with an emphasis on authenticity and visual storytelling. Winters loves showing that content creation doesn’t have to be overly curated to be impactful or perfect. Some of her most-loved moments are filmed while walking through Calgary exploring, packing for trips, trying restaurants and fun food, or simply sharing real-life habits with her audience. When she’s not creating content, she’s at yoga, her job as a flight attendant, with her orange cat or family and friends, while continuing to build a sustainable and creative digital brand rooted in travel and storytelling.

What is your channel called and what is it about?
My main channel is called Stellar Lexi. It’s a YouTube channel that went viral because of food content. I still do that, but I have added travel, lifestyle, fashion, and day-to-day moments, with a strong emphasis on visual storytelling and relatability to my audience:)
When did you start it? What motivated you at the beginning?
I started creating content in 2013. I had a YouTube channel that I ended up ending because of bullying in high school. I’ve always used creating videos as a creative outlet. I first started gaining recognition in Calgary in 2019 when I was in college due to my TikTok following. I loved capturing moments and sharing experiences, and it naturally evolved as people connected with my style and personality. Now I’ve built a community I love 🙂
Who were you inspired by? Any influences?
I’ve always been inspired by creators who make everyday life feel exciting and cinematic. When I was younger, I looked up to YouTubers and actors! I think they are so fascinating. I grew up in a small town, so that never really felt possible. But then I just started putting myself out there. I draw influence from travel creators and lifestyle vloggers who prioritize authenticity over perfection. I like to see real people, not this perfect aesthetic kinda content. I like the messy, raw and real.
How would you describe your audience?
My audience is highly engaged and curious, with a strong interest in food, travel, lifestyle routines, and visually pleasing content. Just like me heheh! They value consistency, personality, and real-life moments. They love a good laugh and honesty! I believe that’s why I’ve been able to maintain career growth in this field, because that’s who I am. Honest and real 🙂
What is your creative process? Do you have people who work with you?
My creative process is very organic. I plan loosely but allow space for spontaneity. So I’ll come up with an idea or concept I’d like to create, but don’t restrict myself to a timeline because creativity comes and goes. And creative blocks are a real thing! I currently create and edit all of my content independently, which keeps it personal and true to my vision. I love collaboration and working alongside the other amazing creators in YYC. I love the welcoming community we have here! It makes this career even better!
How do you monetize your content? Do you also have another job?
I monetize through brand partnerships, sponsored content, and collaborations. Alongside content creation, I also work within the aviation industry as a flight attendant, which aligns closely with my love of travel. So I have a few different streams of income. I wish we could make money from views on TikTok and Instagram as they do in the States! YouTube is great for ad money from views! If you’re looking to get into it, that’s definitely a great starting point 🙂
What is your favourite piece of content you have created?
One of my favourite pieces is my restaurant taste test videos that really capture my storytelling style and audience connection!
What is the best part about what you do? What is the worst part?
The best part is the freedom to create and connect with people all over the world. Also, the opportunities that creating has given me. I’m over the moon grateful for this life. The most challenging part is the pressure to constantly perform and stay creative in a fast-moving digital space. There’s always gonna be someone more viral, someone more pretty, someone more entertaining, but there will never be someone more you than you. So, if you’re creating, remember that, and always remember there’s enough to go around for everyone ❤️
What are your future plans for your channel?
I plan to expand further into travel-focused storytelling, long-form content, and meaningful brand partnerships that align with my lifestyle and values. But never losing myself in the process 🙂
Where can we follow you?
PAY IT FORWARD: What is another Canadian content creator that you love?
I love supporting Canadian creators! Especially my fellow YYC creators!!!!! There’s too many of them to list that are amazing! I recommend searching up YYC influencers and giving them all a follow or a follow for your favourite kind of content to watch! We do a little of everything here! Fashion, food, lifestyle, travel, gym, the list goes on 🙂
