How would you describe your comedy style?
I would describe my style as a social commentary where I talk about culture and my unique life of growing up Muslim in High River.
Who are some of your influences?
Chris Rock and George Carlin
Who was your favourite comedian growing up?
Chris Rock. I used to watch him with my dad growing up.
Who is your favourite comedian now?
Bill Burr
What is your pre-show ritual?
A little meditation and BreathWork to calm the nerves and keep me present and focused.
What is your favourite place you have performed? Why?
I opened for Nick Offerman in Princess Island Park for 4500 people at the Great Outdoors Comedy Festival this last summer. Not only was it amazing to perform with a legend like Nick, playing for 4500 people is a different beast. The crowd was electric and loved doing it in my home city.
What is your favourite medium for listening or finding new comics/comedians?
Sirius XM.
Tell us a joke about your city.
Growing up in High River my relatives always made fun of me saying you’re from High River you know nothing about your culture. I was like What? I’m from High River. I spent my whole life explaining my Culture. Sometimes it wasn’t even my culture. A guy asked, hey Noor where’s your Turban? I’m like I’m Muslim, Sikhs wear turbans. He’s like oh what do Sikhs believe in? I’m like I don’t know I’m from High River too!
Where can we follow you?
