Naturacare

What is your business called and what does it do?

My business is called Naturacare. I handcraft natural and vegan self-care and home products, such as lip balms, body oils, body mousse, bar soaps, liquid soaps, bath bombs, body splash, air fresheners, diffusers, candles, wax melts, and much more.

What made you want to do this work?

I started Naturacare to combine my passion for holistic wellness and creativity, offering handcrafted, natural, and vegan products that nurture the body, mind, and soul. I wanted to provide eco-friendly, high-quality alternatives that promote well-being while making a positive impact on people’s lives.

What problem did you want to solve with the business?

With Naturacare, I aim to solve the lack of accessible, high-quality, natural, and vegan products that support holistic well-being. I want to provide eco-friendly alternatives to conventional skincare and home products, promoting sustainability while helping people care for their bodies and homes in a healthier, more mindful way.

Who are your clientele/demographics?

My clients are primarily in Calgary and surrounding areas, but I also ship to customers throughout Canada.

How does your business make money? How does it work?

My business makes money by producing and selling handcrafted, natural, and vegan products through direct sales, markets, and retail partnerships. Customers purchase unique items, such as soaps, candles, and air fresheners, either online, at events, or in stores.

It works by combining creativity and sustainability:

  • Creation: I craft high-quality products infused with Reiki energy, ensuring uniqueness and appeal.
  • Marketing: I promote products through social media, local markets, and collaborations.
  • Sales: Customers purchase directly or through retailers, providing revenue and building brand loyalty.

This model supports growth through repeat customers and new partnerships.

Where in the city can we find your profession?

You can find Naturacare products at local markets, boutiques, speciality stores, or online platforms representing businesses in the city.

What is the best question a prospective customer could ask a member of your profession when comparing services? Give the answer as well.

The best question is: What makes your products unique?

Naturacare products are not only handcrafted and vegan but also infused with Reiki energy, offering a unique blend of holistic wellness and sustainability. We use eco-friendly ingredients and packaging, ensuring high-quality, nature-inspired products that nurture the body, mind, and soul. This personal, mindful touch makes our products stand out.

What is the best part about what you do? What is the worst part?

The best part of what I do is the creativity and connection involved. I love crafting unique, high-quality products that promote well-being and bring joy to people’s lives. Seeing customers appreciate the care and energy infused into each item, especially knowing they value holistic, eco-friendly choices, is deeply rewarding.

The most challenging part is managing time and resources effectively, especially during busy seasons or when introducing new products. Balancing the creative process with business logistics, such as production, marketing, and distribution, can be demanding. Additionally, the long hours often mean time away from my family, which can be tough, but their support makes it all worthwhile.

What is your favourite joke about your own profession?

I don’t know, but I’ve heard one that says: Why don’t artisans ever get lost? Because they always follow their craft!

Where can we follow you?

Follow me on Instagram. I also have a website, where you can sign up to receive our newsletters.

PAY IT FORWARD: What is another local business that you love?

It’s a food company called Sweet & Salty.
