I have been blessed to know Maddie Arnason her whole life and as I write this, it is her 17th birthday. Maddie is growing into a wonderful young woman who continues to shine as an artist, student, and athlete, first and foremost, however, as a kind and compassionate young woman. Maddie puts incredible value on her love of family, including her two dogs Beckham and Baxter, and her friends.
Maddie has always loved sports and grew up playing competitive ringette, rounding out her 11th season as both a Provincial winner and a Western Canadian Champion with her teammates, many of whom have become her closest friends over the years. She also plays high school basketball, acting as one of the captains for both her junior and senior teams. Along with sports Maddie loves school. Her commitment to honing her craft prompted a move from her French Immersion high school to a Performing Arts high school across the city. While she is a strong student, it is her social circle that keeps her loving the early mornings and long commute.
All that said, nothing holds Maddie’s heart like performing. Maddie is a strong musical theatre artist who thrives in a learning environment. She has been thrilled to be a part of many casts, Into the Woods, Bring It On The Musical, Oliver and Spring Awakening are some of her most memorable. Maddie has some incredible people in her life who are helping to shape and mentor the hard-working artist she is becoming.
