Meet Bumbleberry! This sweet, friendly Husky lives up to his breed with his playful and affectionate personality. While he can be a little skittish when he’s unsure and meeting unfamiliar people, he warms up with patience, tasty treats, and pets. Once he trusts you, his cuddly side shines – he’s convinced he’s a lap dog and will nudge you with his nose to ask for more scratches! He is a bit more cautious around men until he knows he’s safe.
Bumbleberry is a smart, clever boy who already knows some verbal cues and takes treats very gently. Like many Huskies, he’ll need plenty of daily exercise and enrichment to keep him happy and out of trouble – busy brain, happy dog! He’s still learning his doggy manners and can be a bit jumpy when excited, so continued positive reinforcement training and redirection will go a long way.
He is looking for an active but patient home that will let him build trust at his own pace and provide tasks for him to do. A home with previous breed experience or a family that has done lots of research would be great! With proper introductions, he may do well with other dogs, but due to observed prey drive, cats are a no-go. Due to his excitement and puppy habits, a home with kids 15 and older is best.
When Bumbleberry loves, he loves HARD. If you are looking for the unconditional love and loyalty that this sweet boy will provide, come see him today!
