Max Motion is a rising Canadian DJ and electronic music producer whose music has been making waves across the world. Over the past year, Max has rapidly built a name for himself through standout performances and original releases. I like to be surrounded by my team before shows; some good quality time with good people helps me be grounded before getting on stage. Also, a few minutes of quiet helps me get in the zone.
Favourite local musician:
There is so much talent in Calgary that it’s hard to pick one. If I had to pick one, my favourite local musician would have to be my long-time friend Kam Prada. Kam has shown the ropes of the music industry, mentored me and has always had my back. Such an incredible musician and an even better friend.
Early bird or night owl:
1000% a night owl. My sleep schedule is in shambles as I like to work through the nights and sleep through the day. It sucks. Especially being a student at the same time.
Road or studio:
I prefer the road. It has always been my dream to travel and do what I love most. I make all of my music on my laptop, which makes things much more convenient.
Any shows or albums coming up?
This past summer, I played the most shows of my career. I’m starting to take my foot off of the gas to focus on creating more. I am currently working on starting my own label as well as a debut EP. I’m very excited for this next chapter.
