Meet Ansel, a gorgeous cloud of a dog looking for a soft place to land! As a livestock guardian breed, it’s only fitting that his name means “protection”, but after a rough life as a stray, Ansel is the one who is seeking that security. This sweet boy was found in a dishevelled state, but with some much-needed care and lots of love, Ansel has shown us that his past hasn’t put a damper on his friendly personality!
Ansel loves making new friends, especially when treats are involved, but can be a bit hesitant in unfamiliar environments. It doesn’t take long, though, before he’s sitting next to you, soaking up all the affection! His beautiful coat makes it hard to resist petting him, but he will need regular grooming to help keep it healthy and tangle-free.
Because Ansel was found as a stray, we don’t know how he’d do with kids or other animals. We would recommend that all interactions with children are supervised, and any introductions to cats, dogs or other critters are done very slowly.
